It has been necessary to close Shottendane Road, Birchington from 25th September 2023 for up to 8 days.

The road is closed at Sparrow Castle. The alternative route is via B2050 Manston Road, B2048 Park Lane, A28 The Square, A28 Canterbury Road, Minster Road and Shottendane Road. This is to enable emergency gas escape works to be carried out by SGN.
