Urgent Speed Limit Reduction – A299 Thanet Way, Birchington - 29th July 2024 (Thanet)
Kent County Council gives notice that for the safety of the public and workforce during roadworks, a temporary mandatory speed limit of 20 MPH will be imposed on a section of Thanet Way, Birchington.
The 20 MPH applies in both directions on A299 Thanet Way, Birchington, 800 metres each side of the bridge, to the extent indicated by signage clearly displayed on site.
This takes effect on 29th July 2024 for up to 14 days. The restrictions will be lifted as soon as works are completed and it is safe to do so.
The restrictions have been introduced for the safety of the public and workforce whilst bridge painting works are to be carried out by Kent County Council.
This Notice applies when the relevant signs and barriers are on site and is valid for a period of no more than 5 days.
