HERITAGE NEWS
Summer 2026
The Heritage society is starting work on Volume 2 of "Glimpses and Gleanings", this time including Wispington. The society has a new Committee - Chairman is Robert Marshall, Joanna Heselwood is Treasurer and Mike Sumner is Secretary. In addition Sarah Smith is a co-signature on cheques.
The society is applying for grant funding to help us publish the next volume and also for some technical expertise in laying out for publication but will also need support from locals to maintain this website and other admin costs. If you would like to help, please checkout our Donate button at easyfundraising.
There are many more interesting local heritage stories to be told and if you have any information, photographs or wish to help, do please get in touch.

"Glimpses and Gleanings from Minting and Gautby", Volume 1 is now available to order via printing on demand.
Described as ”first rate”, “absolutely stunning” and “ought to be a template for village history books” by the late David Robinson, Volume I, a 135-page, A4, full colour, hardback village book is exceptional. We printed 500 copies of the original, one of each went to each household, every library and some were sold and contributed to the society's funds.
An amended and updated version can be ordered on demand for £35, excluding any postage.
If you would like to order a copy for £35 excluding postage, please email mintinggautbyheritagesociety@gmail.com.
