The Parish Council has received a request to comment on a Traffic Regulation Order relating to Planning Ref. 25/501640/REM (land at Pond Farm, London Road, Newington).

We would like to encourage all affected residents to comment. This is an informal consultation, with a formal consultation to follow. It relates to the redesignation of speed limits (a stretch of 40mph road proposed to become 30mph) and to additional road, including double-yellow lines:

There are two Traffic Regulation Orders proposed, the first looks to provide a 30mph zone between the existing 20mph and 40mph speed limits, where the TRO covers the enforcement of the proposed speed limit.

The second TRO is for the proposed double yellow parking restrictions on the plan along London Road and the bus stop clear ways where the TRO would allow for the enforcement of the proposed markings.
