The application completed the examination stage on 28th April 2026. 

The Examination timetable can be found on the Planning Inspectorate's web page below:-

Now that the examination has been completed the Planning Inspectorate will make a recommendation the Secretary of State (Ed Miliband) within 3 months.

The Secretary of State then has a further 3 months to make his decision.

 Once a decision is made, there is a 6-week window during which the decision can be legally challenged in the High Court via Judicial Review.

Development would then likely start in 2027 and last for approximately 2 years.
