External Competitions

The season just past - 2026 - was a good year for Nuthall members who were brave enough to enter the many competitions that sit outside our normal league schedule. see the summary below.

To precis the sheet.....  A total of 12 of our members ( 8 men 4 ladies ) entered one or more of the many competitions that are run. Entry costs are, on average, £3 per comp and they cover all formats of the game. Several different organisations run these comps.

There were several notable achievements this year.      Jenny and Pete won the County Senior Mixed Pairs trophy. and qualified for the Nationals at Skegness in August. They reached the final of the competition in Skegness see photos.    Graham and Hilary won the Warren mixed pairs Trophy.    Kevin and Michael won the one day comp called the Queen of the Midlands, Open Pairs at Retford.    Gill and Jenny reached the final of the EBA Ladies Pairs also Gill ,Jenny and Hilary reached the final of the EBA Ladies Triples.
