Professionally qualified as a Chartered Insurance Risk Manager. Spent many years in senior positions in insurance sector. Then moved to work for a number of charities in an insurance and risk management capacity. Most recent employment, before retirement, was at Northumbria University as their Insurance and Risk Manager.
