Pineholt Bowls Club

Welcome

We are a flat green bowls club based in Hucclecote, a district of Gloucester City.

We have a resident green keeper who is also an advisor for Bowls England. Our green can accommodate 7 rinks and is fully compliant with Bowls England requirements. We have a large clubhouse and there is ample parking within which we can accommodate coaches for bowls clubs touring Gloucestershire.

We have over 50 playing members and the club is open to everyone of any age. We have an annual open day to encourage new members either new to the game or experienced. We have recently purchased some small sets of bowls for use by young persons and others with small hands!

Pineholt is a mixed club and we have a full programme of games throughout the playing season of mixed friendly and 'seniors’ games. We also play in the Glevum League and the men play in the Gloucestershire County Bowls League on Sunday mornings,

Matches are at weekends and through the week and our club night is Friday evening when members can come up for a ‘roll up' sessions amongst themselves. Members can take part in Club, County and National competitions if they wish to do so.

We also organise an Open Tournament in August which is supported by teams from many clubs in the county and surrounding counties.

We have hosted County finals along with inter County matches.

The playing season is from mid - April to mid/late September.

During the winter months we hold social events indoors at the club and we have the facility of playing Short Mat Indoor Bowls.
