Stockbridge has kept its traditional Hampshire 'broad street', lined with fine brick houses. The High Street enjoys a wide variety of shops from art galleries and boutiques to specialist food shops, including a fishmonger, greengrocer and butcher. 

There is a broad choice of tea rooms, restaurants, pubs and hotels offering local foods. For those content to stroll and take in the delights of the High Street, watch the well-fed trout dart and dive at one of the many carriers of the River Test that run south under the town headed for Southampton Water.

The village has three churches, three historic cemeteries, three schools, a combined police and fire station and a doctor's surgery. A map board is located on the High Street.  There are also a number of guides to held explore the village and its surroundings.

Stockbridge Parish Council usually meets on the third Thursday each month, except for August, when there is no meeting because of the holiday season and December when the meeting is held on the second Thursday of the month.  A full list of meeting dates can be found in our Meetings section. Meetings are usually held, in public, at Stockbridge Town Hall at 7.30pm, unless stated otherwise.
