While people across 1990's Iraq struggle to survive, 9-year old Lamia has been selected to prepare a cake to celebrate the President's birthday. In a landscape of fear and scarcity, where basic ingredients are nearly impossible to find, Lamia sets out on a determined journey throughout the big city in search of eggs, flour, and sugar. Accompanied by her grandmother, her loyal friend Saeed, and her pet rooster Hindi, she navigates vendors and police officers along the way.  [In Arabic with English subtitles]

A dramatization of one evening in 1943 in the life of Lorenz Hart (Ethan Hawke), best known as the lyricist half of the successful songwriting team Rodgers and Hart. The evening spent in a bar is arguably the worst night of his life, being the opening night of the new Broadway musical “Oklahoma” written by Richard Rodgers (Andrew Scott) and his new lyricist partner Oscar Hammerstein II.  By the time this night is over, Hart will have confronted both a world that no longer values his talent and the seeming impossibility of love.  Academy Award-nominations for Best Actor (Ethan Hawke) and Best Original Screenplay (Robert Kaplow)

JB Mooney (Josh O'Connor), a restless carpenter in 1970s Massachusetts, becomes obsessed with proving his own brilliance through an audacious art heist. He fixates on four Arthur Dove paintings in a small suburban museum, convinced the theft will finally validate the genius he believes he possesses. As he plans the crime, his impulsiveness and patchy preparation reveal a man more driven by fantasy than strategy. The heist itself exposes the gap between JB’s imagined mastery and his actual abilities. His attempts to stay ahead of suspicion grow increasingly chaotic, shaped more by ego than clear thinking. The story follows a man chasing a grand idea of himself that reality keeps refusing to confirm.
