Stockbridge PARISH COUNCIL - Notice of Vacancy in the office of Councillor

Notice given under Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972

There is a vacancy on the Parish Council caused by the resignation of Lisa Ellis.

For a by-election to be held to fill the vacancy, requests by TEN registered local government electors in Stockbridge must be made by no later than Wednesday 28 January 2026 to:

Test Valley Borough Council

Beech Hurst

Weyhill Road

Andover

SP10 3AJ

On receipt of a valid request, the Returning Officer will set the date of an election to be held within 60 days of this notice (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays), in accordance with Rule 5 of the Local Elections (Parishes and Communities) (England and Wales) Rules 2006.

If an election is not requested, the Parish Council will co-opt a person to fill the vacancy as soon as practicable.
