We try to update this page with road closures affecting Sutton Valence parish whenever we receive notifications from Kent County Council (KCC). Please note that sometimes, if a road needs to be closed urgently for emergency works, we do not receive notification until after the closure has begun. 

Kent County Council gives notice of the following road closure: 

"Kent County Council - Temporary Road Closure - Forsham Lane, Sutton Valence - 21st October 2026 (Maidstone District)

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Kent County Council, it will be necessary to close part of Forsham Lane, Sutton Valence, from 21st October 2026 with estimated completion by 21st October 2026.

Forsham Lane, Sutton Valence, will be closed from the junction with A274 Headcorn Road and the junction with Green Lane, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Forsham Lane, A274 Headcorn Road, A274 Sutton Valence Hill, Chart Road, Chart Hill Road, Green Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow drainage cleansing works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Kent County Council.
