Hire Information
The rates for non-profit organisations and local residents are:
Hall only hire is £12 per hour weekdays up to 5pm. Evening rates on application.
Hire of the main hall and the kitchen is £15 per hour weekdays. Rates for hire on weekends on application.
A special weekend rate for local residents of £15 per hour is charged for children's parties. There is the option of hiring our super bouncy castle at £20 for the session.
Side room is £7 per hour weekdays and £9 per hour weekends.
All hire time must include time to set up and clear down.
A deposit is required for all room bookings which varies between £50-£500 depending on the kind of hire/booking, the exact cost of the deposit is determined by the booking manager follow the booking application. Bookings are accepted on the understanding that the hirer has read and agreed the hall booking terms and conditions.
The booker is responsible for leaving the hall clean and tidy as found. We provide brooms, mops, dustpan and brush and cleaning items.
All rubbish from the hire must be removed by the hirer.
If any additional cleaning is needed or if rubbish is left after the hire, a charge will be deducted from the booking deposit to cover this.

Hall Bookings Terms and Conditions for Hire by Residents
Supervision The Hirer shall, during the hiring, be responsible for:
- supervision of the premises
- protection and care of the fabric and the contents
- safety from damage however slight or change of any sort
- the behaviour of all persons using the premises whatever their capacity
- the proper supervision of car parking so as to avoid obstruction of the highway.
Damage
The Hirer shall make good or pay for all damage (including accidental damage) to the premises or to the fixtures, fittings or contents and for loss of contents.
Health & Safety The Hirer shall ensure that:
- -any electrical appliances they bring onto the premises and used there shall be in good working order, and used in a safe manner
- no decorations are to be put up near light fittings or heaters
- any failure of equipment must be reported to the Centre
- No Smoking Regulations are fully complied with.
The Hirer acknowledges that they have received instruction in Fire Safety Requirements.
The Hirer must report all accidents involving serious injury as soon as possible to the Secretary or Chairperson. The Hirer should complete the relevant section of the Centre’s Accident Book which is kept in the Office.
Insurance
The Hirer shall be responsible for adequate insurance to cover their members and/ or guests against the Hirer’s liability and all claims arising as a result of the hire. The Centre accepts no liability other than that prescribed at law.
Heating
Special heating requirements should be notified at the time of booking. A charge will be made unless controls are returned to their original setting if altered during the hire period.
Noise
The Hirer shall ensure that the minimum of noise is made on arrival and departure, particularly late at night. The Hirer shall, if using sound amplification equipment comply with the licensing condition for the premises.
Termination
The Centre reserves the right to terminate any entertainment, activity or meeting permitted under the hire that is not properly conducted
Cancellation
If the Hirer wishes to cancel the booking, they must give at least one week’s notice or pay half the hire fee.
End of Hire
The Hirer shall be responsible for leaving the premises and surrounding area in a clean and tidy condition, properly locked and secured unless directed otherwise and any contents temporarily removed from their usual positions properly replaced, otherwise the Centre shall be at liberty to make an additional charge.
