How to play Australian Pairs
1. Played between 2 teams of 2 with 4 bowls each. Toss for the mat and the 2 skips walk to the far end.
2. On the first end the leads delivers two of their four bowls, the leads and skips then change ends. The skips then play their four bowls before swapping ends once again with the lead to allow the leads to play their final two bowls.
3. Once all 8 bowls are played the end is declared finished and the skips mark and declare the score.
4. The order of play is reversed on the next end with the winning Skip leading off and the leads marking and declaring the score. This sequence continues throughout the whole of the match with the lead leading off on odd ends and the skip leading off on even ends
5. Scoring is per Laws of the Sport
6. The team with the most shots after 2 hours is the winner.
