West Ilsley Parish Council Launches Petition for Weight Restriction on Bury Lane

West Ilsley Parish Council has launched a petition to West Berkshire Council calling for a weight restriction on Bury Lane. This would help prevent HGVs from diverting through the village during future A34 closures.

The recent incident on 7 February highlighted the risks and disruption caused when large vehicles are routed through our narrow roads. Residents were left to manage traffic themselves, and damage was caused to verges and infrastructure.
