Without your support and generosity we would not be able to continue to supply this valuable service to our clients. The donations we have had this year will guarantee our survival for at least another 2 years which is fantastic news.

CELEBRATING 50 YEARS OF THE GOOD NEIGHBOURS NETWORK - July 2026
On the 28th July 2026 the Good Neighbours Network celebrated 50 years of their service to others.
Whitchurch Neighbourcare was offered two places at the celebration Tea Party. Current committee member and volunteer driver, Bridget Outridge and our retired Chairman Andrea Wyllie were treated to a delicious afternoon tea and elderflower cocktails at the beautiful Holywell Estate near Southampton.
An address by the Bishop of Portsmouth highlighted the history of the Group and the continued importance of our services to local communities, also nationally to support the health service and to help combat loneliness and local connections.
It seemed very fitting that Andrea Wyllie was able to attend as a thank you for all the years she served Whitchurch Neighbourcare. She, alongside many others, has given her time to offer a great service to our community.
The grounds of Holywell Estate are beautiful - we dined, relaxed and a brass band played for our entertainment.
We chatted to other groups learning of the diversity of Winchester with its huge client base and smaller hamlets with as few as 12 clients.
We left with a token of appreciation - a water bottle labelled with the Good Neighbours Network logo which they felt was a fitting gift for us to stay hydrated whilst transporting others.

COMMUNITY AWARD WINNERS - March 2026
It was with great pride that Carol Clark and Bridget Outridge accepted their Whitchurch Community Award on behalf of the amazing work that the Whitchurch Neighbourcare volunteers undertake. The award was presented by our Mayor Tracy Woodruff and a very pleasant evening was had by all of the nominees. A big thank you for recognising and supporting our wonderful group of volunteers.
