Welcome to Whittingham, Callaly and Alnham Parish Council

Whittingham is a Parish Council in Northumberland covering the former 3 separate parishes of Alnham, Callaly and Whittingham. Whittingham Vale is located in the valley of the upper reaches of the River Aln, and covers about 50 square miles.

The largest settlement is the village of Whittingham; and the parish council also includes the settlements of Alnham, Callaly, Great Ryl Little Ryle, Lorbottle, Prendwick, Thrunton, and Yetlington. 

The Parish Council represents both the interests of the parish and the wider community. Meetings usually take place in the Whittingham Memorial Institute every two months, except for August and December.

In attendance, are twelve council members including the Chair. Meetings are open to the public and provide an opportunity to join in matters and debate which directly affect the Parish.
