Welcome to the official website of Whittingham, Callaly and Alnham Parish Council.

The Council serves the communities of Whittingham, Callaly and Alnham, together with the surrounding hamlets of Great Ryle, Little Ryle, Lorbottle, Prendwick, Thrunton and Yetlington. Covering around 50 square miles of the upper Aln Valley, the parish is one of the largest in Northumberland by area.

The Parish Council works on behalf of residents to represent local interests, maintain community assets where appropriate, comment on planning applications and work with partner organisations on issues affecting the parish.

Council meetings are normally held every month at the Whittingham Memorial Institute, except in August and December. The Council is made up of up to twelve elected councillors, led by the Chairman, and meetings are open to the public.

Residents are welcome to attend meetings, observe proceedings and, during the Public Participation session, raise matters of local concern with the Council.
