Wingrave Bowls Club – Clubhouse Update: We Might Be Playing Home Matches Away This Year!

2025 is a big year for us – Wingrave Bowls Club is turning 100! And we’ve got some great news to share: thanks to funding from the UK Government and our local Parish Council, we’ve got the green light and the budget to rebuild our clubhouse.

We found out the project was going ahead after we’d already sorted our fixtures for the year, and it’s going to have a big impact on how we run things this season. The old clubhouse is being knocked down in April, and the new one should be finished by December.

That means we won’t have access to our usual facilities – and we’re not even sure how much we’ll be able to use the green during the build. So, chances are most of our “home” games will have to be played away or at neutral venues.

We’ll keep in touch with each of our opponents as the season goes on to work out where games will take place, and we’ll do our best to give at least three weeks’ notice for any changes.

Sorry in advance for any disruption this causes – but the good news is things should be back to normal (and even better!) in 2026. We can’t wait to welcome you all to our brand-new clubhouse then.

If you’ve got any questions, feel free to reach out to anyone listed on our contacts page. And keep an eye out here for updates!
