At the request of Woore Parish Council and on behalf of residents, all Parishioners will shortly receive a ‘HS2 Phase 2a Consultation’ response form by post.


This form is an opportunity for Parishioners to share their concerns regarding the safety and wellbeing of residents, if/when work on Phase 2a of the railway line commences and Woore Parish becomes one of the main routes for construction traffic.


Woore Parish Council urge ALL residents to respond to the consultation and will shortly release further details to support this process; specifically the Parish Council’s primary objectives for protecting the Parish, which have derived from several years of engagement with residents, local businesses and community organisations.


Woore Parish Council is committed to ongoing discussions with Shropshire Council and HS2 to ensure that residents safety and wellbeing is secured and the Rt Hon Owen Paterson will shortly be representing Parishioners when he meets with the Minister for HS2, Andrew Stephenson, in the coming weeks and presents the list of mitigations/interventions/assurances the Parish Council is requesting.
