Community Speed Watch Scheme

Community Speed Watch Scheme Community Speed Watch Scheme

Woore Parish Council introduced a Community Speed Watch Scheme to the Parish of Woore in Autumn 2021. Increasing vehicle speeds on all roads throughout the Parish is of growing concern to Councillors and residents alike and the Parish Council is working closely with West Mercia Safer Roads Partnership to improve the safety and wellbeing of drivers and pedestrians in the Parish by the introduction of the CSW programme.

The Parish Council politely request residents support in ensuring that CSW wardens are treated respectfully whilst volunteering their time to the scheme. All volunteers are fully trained and must operate within the guidance of the Safer Roads Partnership at all times to ensure their safety and adherence to CSW guidelines.

The Parish Council is actively seeking more volunteers to support this initiate and would encourage residents to contact clerk@wooreparishcouncil.org if they would like to get involved.
