Consultation - for draft Vision & Objectives, Crookham Village Neighbourhood Plan

The Neighbourhood Planning group will be engaging with the community and drafting the Neighbourhood Plan, which will be put to the village in a referendum in 2016.

A Neighbourhood Plan establishes general planning policies for the development and use of land in a neighbourhood, like:

  • where new homes, leisure facilities and business premises should be built
  • what type of development they should be and what they should look like

The plan can be detailed or general, depending on what local people want. Neighbourhood Plans allow local people to get the right type of development for their community, but the plans must still meet the needs of the wider area and fit with the Hart District Council Local Plan when it is completed..

 

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE tell us what you think about the Crookham Village Parish Neighbourhood Plan Vision & Objectives, created by your NP Steering Group with the aid of your NP consultant. These were put out for community consultation in October 2015 and we need your views ASAP but at the latest by 31st December 2015.  

The Vision is what we hope for our Parish area (Netherhouse Moor Estate, Crookham Old Village and Zebon Copse Estate) and the Objectives form the basis of how we plan to achieve the vision. We URGENTLY need your feedback (even if you just agree with it) so we can prove that the community has bought into the process. If you feel we have it about right, send in a reply ticking the boxes to agree ... if you think we have all or part of it wrong, send in your thoughts for change.

Everyone in your household is entitled to complete the survey and everyone's views are welcome. The Neighbourhood Plan document is about protecting YOUR Parish area to make sure we only get appropriate and fair development - we can't stop development, so let's make sure what we have to take works for us!
