Such a busy month!

Results of The Rugby Bowling Association Len Taylor Triples match held on 11th August

This prestigious and hotly contested annual competition run by Rugby Bowling Association was held at Bilton this year. We entered 3 teams, a great turnout. The winner and runners up were both from Rugby Railway. The day was very well supported and will raise significant funds for the Club (total amount to be confirmed) Thank you to all that were involved in the considerable preparations and running of the day. A particular thank you to Sandra and her ace team in the kitchen area, the bar staff, chief raffle organiser and everyone that tidied up at the end of the day.

Other News

Congratulations to the Men’s section who were runners up in their Coventry 6 League where it was a very close-run thing and just a few shots against in the overall result. Congratulations to Sam, Alan H & Warren who won the RBA Wellbeing Triples Gala and to Martin and Ginny for runner up against stiff competition in the Yobco Oil Open Pairs competition run at the Grange.

The Ladies section have their final round playing for top position in the Sunday Trophy against Rugby Rail held at Thornfield on 1st September starting at 2.00. Spectators and supporters are very welcome.

2024 Members Club Competition

Club finals are held middle of September with the presentations of the winners and runners up trophies taking place later in the year. Remember to return any trophy you still have in your possession by Saturday 31st August and look on our webpage for photos here of our previous winners Please remember to support your hard-working committees who always need to plan for last minute changes due to illness, hospital appointments and unforeseen circumstances.

Want to brush up on your bowls and have one of our qualified coaches cast an eye and give you some pointers? Sam and Martin S. kindly give their time to any member at no cost. End of season social and celebration Friday 20th September 7.00 (poster attached)

Join us for a get together to celebrate the end of the year and closing down of the green for another season. Music from ‘Scratch and Sniff’ bar and spot prizes. Members and guests welcome £5 a ticket - purchased from behind the bar or contact Sandra 07951770274 or Sarah 07796408277
