Bishop Monkton has effectively been cut in two by roadworks outside the old Lamb and Flag pub. Yorkshire Water are installing new water pipes to service the houses being built as part of the five-home development on the former pub site. It's expected that the road will be shut until Saturday. Drivers happy to use the ford can by-pass the blockage by using Main Street and the ford to get round the shut section of Boroughbridge Road.
