The newly elected MP for Bishop Monkton has organised a high-level meeting to try to get action on the village’s flooding issues.
Alec Shelbrooke, who was elected at the General Election to represent the new constituency of Wetherby and Easingwold, will be meeting Yorkshire Water and the Environment Agency on September 19th.

Mr Sherbrooke says he’s hoping the meeting will give him an opportunity to explain to both organisations the concerns of villagers about flooding. He’s promised to feedback from the meeting to the village via ‘Bishop Monkton Today’.
