As anticipated for some time, Parish Councillor Kai Shand has resigned after moving out of the village. In his resignation letter, Kai said he had stayed on the Council for a while after moving to help out while the Council was going through a difficult period.

The resulting vacancy is likely to be filled by co-option. However, once an official vacancy notice is issued, an election must be held if ten or more electors demand one. Five councillors now remain - Stephen Verrill, Sheila Parsons, Dean Culshaw, Steve Oliver and Gareth Sargieson.
