STREETLINK
What is StreetLink?
StreetLink is a platform that connects people rough sleeping in England and Wales to support provided by local authorities and charities. This includes anyone who is sleeping outside, preparing to bed down, or sleeping somewhere not designed for habitation, such as a car. To make these connections, the platform relies on alerts submitted by members of the public and people sleeping rough.
Tell us about the person sleeping rough
Important Call 999 if the person is in immediate danger, needs medical assistance, or is under 18
StreetLink can be used by anyone in England and Wales to send an alert about someone who is sleeping or preparing to sleep rough.
Alerts are sent to outreach teams, who go out mostly at night to connect people sleeping rough to local support services.
StreetLink complements existing outreach work by alerting teams to people they haven’t seen before.
Who should you tell us about?
StreetLink can only accept alerts for people who are sleeping rough or preparing to sleep rough and are over 18. If someone is under 18 years old, call 999. Please do not make an alert if the person is begging or engaging in anti-social behaviour if they are not rough sleeping.
To make an alert go to StreetLink - Connecting people sleeping rough to local services (thestreetlink.org.uk)
