The Working Group recently met with BDW to discuss where they are at the moment with the Wises Lane Development.

An Undertaking is on file with SBC and Hinge Farms for the management of the Skylarks in Wises Lane. This is an Undertaking for 10 years and has specific instruction for Hinges to follow. Borden Parish Council will be closely monitoring this for the next 10 years.

As some of you know, hedgerows have been cleared to allow access to the site of Phase 1a. Currently the archaeological dig is taking place and we will report back to you any discoveries of note.

There has been some frustration with KCC not involving BPC with regards to Chestnut Street roundabout, western end of the spine road and cycle routes. However, we are endeavouring to put this right as it is important Borden Parish is represented as much as possible.

The sales cabin will be arriving in January/February 2023. This is on the land on the east side. They currently have one property for sale, off-plan.

We are told the current Wises Lane will still be in operation for another 12 months and the Dental Close end of the development will commence in January/February 2023. This will be the building of the first 5 properties. Please note no dates are specific or exact.
