Men's President Greeting

Bowls Hampshire Men's President Greeting

Men's President 2026, Tom Regan Atkins
Old Basing Bowling Club

It is a great honour to serve as HBA President this season. I would like to offer a very warm welcome to everyone visiting Hampshire in any bowls capacity and to all those who continue to support our wonderful sport across the county

Bowls has given me many things over the years: friendship, laughter, memorable matches, occasional frustration with short woods, and a growing appreciation for the people who quietly keep our clubs running behind the scenes

Whether you are a seasoned county player, a club volunteer, a social bowler, or someone completely new to the game, you are part of what makes Hampshire bowls such a strong and welcoming community

One of the highlights of the season ahead will undoubtedly be the National Finals at Royal Leamington Spa in August, which I very much look forward to attending

There is always something rather special about Leamington — the atmosphere, the competition, the camaraderie, and of course the annual opportunity for bowlers from across the country to discuss the speed of the greens with absolute certainty while all disagreeing completely

I hope the coming season brings success, friendship and enjoyment to all our clubs and members

Most importantly, I hope we continue to encourage new people into the sport and preserve the welcoming spirit that makes bowls so special

My sincere thanks go to everyone who gives their time so generously to keep the game thriving throughout Hampshire

I wish you all a happy, successful and thoroughly enjoyable season

Tom Regan Atkins
