Many thanks from the BPC and the Bucklebury Says No group to all those who braved the dreadful weather on Friday, 9th February to attend the Public Meeting in Upper Bucklebury on the Local Plan. It was encouraging to see such a good turn-out and to hear the continuing concerns of local residents. An update on both the current situation and the next steps was provided at the meeting by Councillor Chris Read (Bucklebury), Andrew Black (BPC Consultant); Paul Goriup (Nature Bureau, Ecologist); and Councillor Simon Pike (Thatcham Town Council). A summary of their remarks and also of the questions and responses from those at the meeting is can be found here. Since the public meeting a Statement on behalf of BPC (Matters 1-3), prepared by Andrew Black has been submitted, and this can be found here.
