A leap forward for the start of 2024

The hard work and efforts given by volunteers from Buses in Fleet to encourage feedback from local and neighbouring communities has taken a leap forward for the start of 2024.

Volunteer efforts and community engagement has now turned a ‘missing link’ proposal into a campaign for circular bus service to include Farnborough.

Buses in Fleet have also received feedback from residents from Fleet complaining about the number 10 service to Farnborough being full up during morning peak times and hence not being able to get a seat or get on the bus. Other feedback also suggested making our proposed route into a circular service to include Farnborough.

Buses in Fleet have created a map to highlight a possible route. This route is not finalised, but just gives an example of the evolution of the campaign in relation to the feedback received to date.

Campaigning for a new bus service will need the continued support from local residents who would be prepared to use the service and make it sustainable with fares covering the running costs. To date, support for the service now stands at 33%, compared with 25% back in November. This is great news gives the campaign a leap forward for the start of the new year!

Buses in Fleet need your help to continue spreading the word, encouraging more local residents to respond and share their feedback to help gather the evidence to prove the demand is out there.
