Welcome to Calverton Park Bowls Club

Thank you for visiting our website, hopefully it’s because you would like to know more about us, either as a newcomer to lawn green bowling, or perhaps as a bowler looking to join a local club.

Please use this website to discover more about our Club.

Here at Calverton Park Bowls Club we are pleased to welcome new members to our lovely bowling green set in tranquil gardens. The green is to the rear of the Village Hall with whom we share our facilities including toilets, kitchen and a large car park.

There is plenty of opportunity for socialising and you don’t have to be competitive to play, If you just want to play with your fellow members on a Sunday afternoon, there’s nothing stopping you.

Bowls truly is the sport for all, regardless of age, sex or physical ability. The gentle pace and lack of contact means you’ll often find children playing with adults and people of different abilities and fitness levels on the same team. It’s a great way to exercise as well. Your arms and legs will get a great workout and the walking has got to be good for you. Despite what you might think, it’s not just a sport for retirees. The general bowler might be over 55, but in our international teams, there is barely anyone over 40. We have an under-25 and under-18 international team as well.
