BOWLS ENGLAND 4 July 2017

TUESDAY 4th JULY
What a fantastic day for the Club.  We were proud to receive a visit from Bowls England who joined the club in celebration of our 50th Anniversary.  Bowls England President Viv Tomlinson (Lancashire) was accompanied by Senior Vice Bill Smith (Leicestershire), Junior Vice Hazel Marke (Hampshire) and Immediate Past President Michael Jennings (Cornwall), together with players from at least 8 other counties.  Deputy Mayor, Clark Mark Cole JP, and Cllr Ruth Newell joined the players for lunch in the clubhouse.  The Deputy Mayor began the formalities, congratulating Chandos Park for reaching their 50 year milestone, and officially handing over the green for the afternoon.

The game was great fun, a lot of laughter on the green, with Chandos Park admitting defeat after 21 ends with a win for Bowls England 69-106.  A day to remember for the Club!
