Annual Village (Parish) Meeting

A meeting of electors of the parish must, by law (1972 Local Government Act), be held each year on a date between 1 March and 1 June inclusive.

This is not a parish council meeting.

If present, the parish council chair must chair the meeting. If the chair is not present then the vice-chair (if there is one) must chair the meeting.

If neither the chair or the vice-chair are present then the meeting must elect a chair.

Councillors attend as electors, unless they are chairing the meeting.

If a vote is called on any matter only electors can vote.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions no meeting was held in 2020 and 2021.

The Clerk is present and takes the minutes, which are approved at the Annual Parish Meeting the following year!
