Greening Campaign

The Greening Campaign is a long-running, national initiative designed to help tackle climate change in down-to-earth, practical ways at a local level: https://greening-campaign.org/

In 2026 Godshill Parish Council was successful in a funding application to bring the benefits of 'greening' to the Island and has invited its neighbouring parishes in the IW Central Rural Area (Arreton, Rookley and ourselves) to participate in the project.

As part of this, in the late Spring of 2026, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife trust carried out a initial survey of the villages.  You can download this report below.
