About Council
Serving the Community of Cublington
Cublington Parish Council acts as the first tier of local government, playing a vital role in influencing decisions that impact our Parish. We work closely with other Local Authorities, including Aylesbury Vale District Council and Bucks County Council, to ensure our community's voice is heard and acted upon.
Our Role:
- Infrastructure Management: We oversee the maintenance of local amenities and public spaces.
- Community Engagement: We gather residents' views on future housing needs, employment, and social infrastructure to guide the Vale of Aylesbury Local Plan.
- Community Support: We help improve residents' quality of life by collaborating with other local organizations.
Recent Initiatives:
- Controlled Development: Based on the 2012 Parish Plan, the Council is committed to managing a limit of approximately 10 new “affordable” homes over a 20-year period, ensuring development aligns with the community’s wishes.
- Highways & Safety: Addressing concerns about traffic speed and inconsiderate parking in the village to improve safety.
- Facilities Management: Continuing to maintain and enhance shared spaces like Orchard Ground and the local playground.
