Please join us at All Saints Church Hall at 7.30 pm on Tuesday 6th May for :-

    "The Fantastic Flora of Australia"

Glenn Duggan will be the speaker at our May meeting.
Glen served thirty years in the Royal Navy and visited over 50 countries during his career.

He became interested in ornithology during those visits, photographing, drawing and painting birds and the local flora.

Later he was based at Haslar and became responsible for safeguarding many valuable books on birds and natural history

He is a Fellow of the Royal Zoological Society of London and has given many lectures on birds and plants.
Australia is a vast country with many different climatic and soil conditions resulting in a great array of different types of plants, some known to British gardeners and some totally unknown.

Glenn’s talk will cover plants from the main families including Acacia (Wattles), Eucalyptus, Proteas, Melaleuca, Haemodoraceae (bloodroots), Eremophila (figworts) and Orchidaceae so it sounds as though we are in for a real botanical treat.

New members and visitors always welcome.

Visitors welcome £2.00 Refreshments & raffle
