Dorchester Invitational Pairs

Dorchester Invitational Pairs took place on Saturday 30 March 2024 starting at 9:30.  Full details can be found here.

During the day spectators were entertained by some quality bowls with Martin Puckett and Mike Gale beating Ryan Nash and Nick Voss 5-3, 5-3 in the Final.

On Monday 8 April 2024 in the Men's Singles Final Martin Puckett beat Ryan Nash 21-13 and in Men's Super Vets Final Martin Waterhouse beat Frank Gwatkin 21-20.

EIBA National Finals

Martin Puckett, Jamie Lockwood, Jamie Watkiss and Ryan Nash lost to Bradley Prowle(RIVERAIN IBC) 12-21 in the quarter finals of the EIBA National fours at Nottingham on Tuesday 2 April 2024 at 18:30.

Martin Puckett, Jamie Lockwood, Jamie Watkiss and Ryan Nash beat Rob Newman (Whiteknights) Four 19-18 after an extra end in the last 16 of the EIBA National fours at Nottingham on Tuesday 2 April 2024 at 9:30.

Martin Puckett beat Ben Harris (Solihull) 21-16 in the last 16 of the 2 wood singles National Finals at Nottingham on Friday 22 March 2024 at 11:00.  Unfortunately in the quarter finals Martin lost 17-21 to Mickey Titcombe (Westlecot).

Ged Costello, Phil Hallett, Graham Cockett and Dave Joslin lost 10-19 to Jackie Walker's (Cumbria) Over 60s four in the last 16 in the National Finals at Nottingham on Friday 22 March 2024 at 15:00

Dorset County Indoor Ladies Competitions

Well done to Linda Hill and Margaret Cullip on winning the Dorset County Indoor Ladies Pairs Final at Dolphin IBC on Saturday 16 March 2024.  Unfortunately Linda Hill, Val Cornick and Sandra Hubbard lost in the final of the County Two Wood Triples.

NORMANDY LANDINGS 80th CELEBRATION 

On Sunday 9 June 2024 the club will be holding Indoor & Outdoor Bowls and BBQ to celebrate the NORMANDY LANDINGS 80th Anniversary.

We need 20 people to make it worthwhile so please sign up on the notice in the club if you plan to attend.

Dorchester Bowls Club is a premier bowls club in Dorset and has a reputation for giving a warm and friendly welcome to all visitors as well as past and present members. It is located at the Sandringham Sports Centre off Armada Way in Dorchester, only eight miles from Dorset's Jurassic Coast. The Club provides six indoor rinks and an outside green which can accommodate up to eight rinks.
