About us

Dunstable Town Bowls Club was formed in 1908, and our first Green was in Nicholas Lane behind Ashton Lower School. The area has since been redeveloped, however  a close approximation of the site would be at the back of The Old Palace Lodge car park.

The first match was played on July 23rd 1908 between South Ward and the Central/North Ward, with the South Ward coming out on top.

The Club moved to it's present site in 1980 at the same time Dunstable Rugby Club moved to Bidwell Hill, and the Cricket Club moved to Lancot Park in Totternhoe.
