COVID-19 SUPPORT

Fletching Parish Council are working in conjunction with the Piltdown Residents Association to help co-ordinate volunteer help and support across whole of the Parish.

Here are the details of a dedicated phone number or email address if you are in a position to offer help or need help. You will also find this information attached here as a pdf file that you can print out and keep. The file also contains an easy to complete form which you can email or leave in a message box in the village shop.

We need your help and perhaps you need our help

We, the Parish Council, would like to play our part in helping our community through the current coronavirus crisis.  We think we can do this best by helping to coordinate whatever action you need us to.  In order to do that we need to know two key things:

  • What do you need help with?
  • What help can you offer the community?

We are not here to replicate what others are already doing, to replace the health professionals who are already working so hard for us all or to add to the detailed advice already being provided by the layers of government above us.  We are here to fill in the gaps.

We have established a dedicated email address and phone number (manned from 7am to 9pm every day) which are at the top and bottom of this leaflet and look forward to hearing your answers to the two questions above.  There is also a box for messages in the Village Shop for those who wish to communicate in that way.  In addition, all this information and further details will be published and updated on the parish council website regularly.

The sorts of assistance we foresee you offering and receiving are as follows:

  • Shopping, both routine and urgent
  • Collection of prescriptions
  • Interacting with local authorities
  • Safe friendly contact
  • Information about others nearby who may benefit from our help

This list is by no means exhaustive and no question will go unanswered so please do not feel constrained in what you ask or offer.  Please use the form overleaf to reply, whether by filling it in and dropping it off at the Village Shop, or by scanning or photographing it and sending it by email, or as a prompt during your phone call.
