Frankie

Meet Frankie, racing name Mineola Fortress, who is a handsome brindle boy with amazing ears. Frankie is 3 1/2 yrs old (DOB 07/07/2020) and has recently joined us to look for his new home. He is a very friendly lad who enjoys a fuss and loves playing with his toys in the paddock. He has been running about with Freya, my greyhound, and should be fine homed with another female greyhound or on his own, so long as he's not left for long periods. He travels well in the car and enjoys his walks, occasionally when he's not sure about something he can go into reverse so we recommend he is walked in a harness for now, this is improving as he gains confidence and he walks well in company. Frankie has a high prey drive and so will not be homed with small furries, cats or small breeds of dog. He could do well homed with a female greyhound, or possibly a lurcher, provided introductions go well.

Frankie generally walks well on the lead but can be strong if he sees something he thinks he should be chasing, although this is improving the more he walks with us. Frankie is not yet good with other breeds of dog, particularly hairy or fluffy ones and will need an owner prepared to work on this or walk him away from other dogs or livestock.

Frankie is quite lively so may not be suitable for young children and he would enjoy a secure garden to play in. If you are interested in meeting him please do get in touch.
