BP HAMBLE

Hamble Oil Terminal stores a range of flammable petroleum products and crude oil. Consequently, it is subject to government safety regulations known as COMAH - Control of Major Accident Hazards.

Accordingly, the terminal operator has specific responsibilities with regard to public safety in the unlikely event of an incident at the site. The terminal operator and the local authority have prepared emergency plans to deal with any incident in the unlikely event of one occurring.

Please follow this link if you would like to hear a recording of the 'On-Site Fire Alarm' This alarm is solely for the attention of on-site personnel. It is tested every Tuesday at 11:00.

In the event of an emergency you will hear the COMAH alarm. Please follow this link if you would like to hear a recording of the 'COMAH Off-Site Alarm' and the subsequent 'All Clear' sirens This alarm would be used to inform everyone of an emergency. It is usually tested once a year on the first Tuesday in June at 10:45.
