The annual Heavitree Shield was held on Saturday 13th August and despite the threatening clouds, the rain stayed away and an excellent afternoon of bowling followed. Teams from Belmont, Exonia, Phear Park and St Thomas took part against teams from Heavitree and after the completion of 20 ends, the team from Phear Park held off a strong challenge from the Heavitree team, skip Gary Lee, to win by 1 shot and retain the trophy they won in 2022.
