Saturday 5th September was designated President's and Captains Day with members invited to take part in target bowls, a spider and various indoor competitions before finishing with a match in the afternoon between selected President's and Captains teams.

The target bowls was won by Gary Baines and the Spider competition by Peter Saunders. The afternoon match produced a very exciting finish with a narrow win for the Captains team by 44 shots to 43. The prize for the best individual rink went to Peter Smith, Dave Berridge, Lynn Conaway and skip Derek Parsons with a score of plus 7.
