Opening Day
Heavitree Bowls Club
The official opening of the 2023 season took place on 22nd April and we were delighted that the first bowls of the season were delivered by our two County Badge Holders, Shirley Parker and Janet Henderson (pictured).
30 members of the club took part and enjoyed the opportunity to get back out on the green although the weather gradually deteriorated as the afternoon wore on and a halt to playing was called after 12 ends. Opening Day then moved to the bar where members took the opportunity to have a drink or two and catch up with fellow members.
Friendly and League matches will now follow thick and fast as we wait for the greens to dry out and the sun to shine.
