VE Day

The club decided to mark VE day with a game of bowls followed by a celebration cream tea with homemade savouries provided by Ricky and Margaret Alvarez. The ground was decorated with bunting and the members were asked to dress in red, white and blue and to wear a decorated hat which would be judged.

The winner of the hat competition was judged by Shirley Parker to be Pauline Jury and the bowls match was won convincingly by the triple of Gary Baines, Peter Smith and Angela Foster
