WWI Centenary Poppy bank

As part of the village’s WWI Centenary commemorations organised by Lowdham Parish Council’s WWI Centenary Committee, Lowdham Village Hall & Playing Fields Committee agreed to poppies being planted on the grassed bank along the side of the Playing Fields.  Poppy seeds donated by Lowdham Horticultural Society were planted on 10 April 2016 by Geoff Burton, Alison Glazebrook, Linda Derry and her grandaughter.  A second set of seeds was donated and planted by Alison Glazebrook on 13 June 2018.
