Luddesdown Parish Council is devastated to hear of the passing of Her Majesty, having served as our head of state for seventy years. We are extremely blessed to have had a monarch with a strong commitment to public service and who so efficiently carried out her duties of representing our British values.

We send our thoughts and prayers to Her Majesty’s family at this sad time

Luddesdown Parish Council wishes to make its constituents aware of the following arrangements:

  • There will be a site for laying flowers at Meopham Cricket Pavilion, it is kindly requested that all cellophane is removed from the flowers. The site will open at 9am on Friday 9 September
  • A book of condolence has been opened at Meopham Cricket Pavilion. This is open to Luddesdown residents to sign too. The book of condolence will be opened at 9am on Friday 9 September.
  • Please check Gravesham Borough Council’s website for other arrangements for paying tribute to Her Majesty.

In line with national guidance, the Parish Council will cease to conduct Council meetings until after the funeral of Her Majesty.
