Congratulations to Pete Curnock and Malmesbury B for securing second place in Division 4. The team lost 2-8 on points and 39-54 on shots to Victory Park C but the two points are enough to secure second place. It may have been a coincidence that Victory Park A had a bye on the day of the match. Malmesbury B have finished their season and Tetbury B cannot overtake Malmesbury B.

Well done to all bowlers who played for Malmesbury B this season especially our new bowlers.

Malmesbury A travelled to Fairford on Tuesday 1st August. The team was outplayed by Fairford and lost 0-10 on points and 32-80 on shots.

Congratulations to Fairford on winning Division 1 as Olveston lost to Cam Mills.

Malmesbury A have the difficult job of needing to win both matches next week, on Monday 7th and Tuesday 8th August to have any chance of staying in Division 1. The league table is here https://www.southcotswoldbowls.co.uk/?page_id=75. Frampton-on-Severn beat Wotton-under-Edge and are 15 points ahead of Malmesbury. Frampton-on-Severn play Olveston at home next Tuesday. In other words, Malmesbury needs a minimum of 16 points from both games next week.
