Congratulations to Rob Stinchcombe for organising a very successful gala tournament for the Aylward Cup. It was great to see so many new members playing competitive bowls, Thank you to Anna and Pat for the sumptuous lunch, to Andy, Graham and Steve for operating the bar, to Shirley for the bottle of whisky, to those who donated prizes for the raffle, to Marleen for presenting the cup to the wiunning team, and thank you to anyone who has been forgotten.
The well deserved winners were Bob, Arthur and Heather who outplayed Pete, Andy and Paul. On the last end, Pete's triple needed 7 shots to draw level to play an extra end, they managed 6 shots so Bob's triple won 9-8. In the 3rd/4th play off, Roy's triple beat Tom's triple.
