Grant from Wiltshire Council
Malmesbury Bowls and Social Club
Malmesbury Bowls and Social Club is very grateful for a grant from Wiltshire Council to fund the installation of accessible toilets in the clubhouse.
The club is in the process of refurbishing the changing rooms and toilets, and the grant by Wiltshire Council will be a significant contribution to installing accessible toilets. The refurbisment will install energy efficient lighting and water control to minimise environmental impact.
Tom Wilkes, who acted on behalf of the club, put together a successful proposal with the support of the board,
Malmesbury Bowls and Social Club has replaced the old, worn-out grass green with a state of the art artificial green some years ago, and in a few weeks, there will be modern, changing rooms and toilet facilities. Besides bowling, the club is a community hub as it has a skittle alley and is home for ten teams in the Malmesbury League, and the clubhouse can be hired for events.
The club is very appreciative of the time and effort donated by the members, led by Roy Wilcox, to make the much needed changes to the clubhouse..
Photos will be posted when the painting is completed.
